Blucifers Beat Dragons, 4-0
|
Pitcher Gabe Zaragoza was sensational for the Denver Blucifers in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Amsterdam Dragons. Zaragoza picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Zaragoza got the win, improving to 8-7. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. Zaragoza allowed no runs. Denver is now 70-68, while Amsterdam is 72-66.
Denver relied on the hitting of Steve Brown to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blucifers on top, 4-0. For the game, Brown had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a good effort all around," said Brown.
