Black Mambas Need Extra Frames to Get Past Tigers
Despite a fine performance by third baseman Connor Leahy, the Tokyo Tigers lost to the Sao Paulo Black Mambas, 6-4. Leahy went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Curt Sather in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Tomás Cordero took the loss. The Black Mambas improved to a lofty 91-39.

Sao Paulo won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Tomás Cordero on the mound for Tokyo, center fielder Bubba Chapman hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Black Mambas fans to their feet.

"That's how to finish a ballgame," said Chapman.
