Havana got a big-time effort from pitcher Robert Huijts, but it wasn't enough to keep the Toronto Huskies from winning the game, 3-2. Huijts threw 7.2 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The winner was Toronto reliever Bobby Morrow, now 8-3. The loser was Ricky Shober. Savion Garrett earned the save, his 31st in 36 tries.

In the bottom of the eighth, Toronto center fielder Dan Parker gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Playboy hit his 35th double of the year. Havana pitcher Ricky Shober surrendered it. With that, the Huskies jumped in front, 3-2.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Toronto skipper Masato Sawai.

Toronto goes to 70-51. The win puts them 9½ games up in their division.
