SS parlayed a decent outing from starter Kaito Yoza into a solid win over the YDNA BayStars. The final score was 8-2. The Lions, now 34-27, have won 5 in a row.

Aito Takeda, who leads the JPL in RBI with 49, helped out the SS cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.

"Kaito was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said SS manager Chihiro Kaneko.
