5-Hit Game for Suzuki
A jubilant Seiya Suzuki joined the postgame press conference at Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the YDNA BayStars pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the HT Carp right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 10-3 Carp win.

"He made it look easy," said Iori Katsura, manager of the BayStars. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Seiya Suzuki hit a solo-shot off Shota Imanaga in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.

So far this season, Suzuki is hitting .370 with 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 61 hits in 165 at-bats and a .480 OBP.
