Ota Socks Red Hopes in 6-1 Blacks Win
The Gyeongju Blacks finished off the Gwangju Red Hopes, 6-1. Much of the credit belonged to shortstop Shojiro Ota. Ota hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Blacks. The victory gives Gyeongju a record of 31-30.

Ota had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 cutter from Hironobu Ito, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Blacks a 5-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ota.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Ota.
