Braves Pull Off Thrilling 8-7 Win in Extras
|
Incheon third baseman Daiki Irie played a vital role in his team's 8-7 conquest of Gwangju. He slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 for Incheon. Nobuatsu Matsumoto got credit for the save for Incheon. It was his 2nd of the year. Incheon now has a record of 19-13 with the win.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Irie delivered big-time for Incheon, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Yui Iwamoto. The game-changing hit put the Braves on top, 7-6.
Irie told a Incheon Citizen reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
