Slumping Swallows Lose Again
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the CH Dragons and YT Swallows.

The CH Dragons picked up a win at Nagoya Dome, taking down the YT Swallows, 5-4. Starting pitcher Shotaro Kasahara was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Kasahara surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Kazuhiro Hashimoto notched his 1st save of the season.

CH second baseman Yukichi Fujii contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a curveball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 21st hit of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 5-2.

"Shotaro pitched his heart out," said CH manager Tomoya Mikami.

The Swallows fall to 11-15 and continue their sputtering start to the 2025 season.
