Giants Get Clonked by Carp, 5-2

The YO (Ni-Gun) Giants and HT (Ni-Gun) Carp delighted fans at Yuu Baseball Ground.
The HT (Ni-Gun) Carp topped the YO (Ni-Gun) Giants, 5-2, with youngster Devon Joyce playing a key role. Joyce went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Carp in the win. HT (Ni-Gun) reliever Atsuya Horie picked up the win, upping his record to 1-5. Kai Yokogawa absorbed the loss.
Joyce had a timely hit for HT (Ni-Gun) in the bottom of the sixth. With HT (Ni-Gun) trailing 1-0, he turned a 2-1 curveball into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 3-1, HT (Ni-Gun).
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Carp manager Wataru Nishimura.
With this game in the books, HT (Ni-Gun) is 36-42, YO (Ni-Gun) 44-34.
