Kikuta Stars for Giants in 9-6 Win
|
Wet weather did not postpone the YO (Ni-Gun)-OR (Ni-Gun) ballgame.
The YO (Ni-Gun) Giants defeated the OR (Ni-Gun) Buffaloes, 9-6. Doing his part was third baseman Hirokazu Kikuta, who went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 8 runs and scored once. The win went to Daisuke Naoe in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Daichi Takeyasu took the loss.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Giants grabbed the lead when Kikuta hit his 9th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Daichi Takeyasu made it 9-6, YO (Ni-Gun).
"I just tried to make good contact," said Kikuta.
The YO (Ni-Gun) winning streak has reached 4 games.
