Guardians Advance to League Championship Series Wednesday, October 8th , 2025 With a 1-0 win to wrap up the series at Fenway Park, the Cleveland Guardians have eliminated the Boston Red Sox in the Division Series and move on to the League Championship Series. Cleveland controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 3-0 sweep. Matt Olson led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .545 batting average, along with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. "We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish." The Cleveland Guardians don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Houston Astros - Oakland Athletics series. That series is tied at 1 game each.
