Guardians Advance to World Series Sunday, October 20th , 2024 The Cleveland Guardians are riding high after knocking off the Boston Red Sox in the League Championship Series. "We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Ronald Acuna Jr., who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this." Cleveland won the final game by a 5-2 count at Progressive Field and the series 4-2. For the series, Acuna Jr. hit .320 with a .414 on-base percentage.
