Blue Jays Beaten By Red Sox, 10-7
|
The 10-7 Boston win over Toronto was due largely to Rhys Hoskins. The Red Sox first baseman went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Kenley Jansen earned the save for Boston, his 4th. The loss drops Toronto to 9-5.
Seth Brown had a big bases-clearing double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the second inning. With Boston leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Grant Holmes and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 7-3.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Brown.
