Rogers Centre was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
Arizona took on Toronto in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Spencer Strider, in particular, was fantastic. The Arizona right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-0. The Diamondbacks now have a record of 30-42 with the win over Toronto.
Strider, now 6-7, scattered 1 hit over 8 innings for the Diamondbacks.
"I'm happy we won," said Strider. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
