Turtles Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, September 3rd , 2110 It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Iloilo Turtles. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign. "You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Turtles starting pitcher Peder Gizikis. Before this season, the Turtles last missed the playoffs in 2108. In the 11 years they have been a Level 3 franchise, they have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
