Yahyah Brilliant, Blanks Astros
Monday, June 15th , 2111
Jabir Yahyah dominated the Niagara Falls Astros with a brilliant 3-hit shutout in the 6-0 Seville Underdogs triumph at Tookh Fields. The Seville hurler fanned 1 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," Astros skipper Yirdaw Anum said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
This year, Yahyah has made 12 starts, thrown 90.1 innings, fanned 50 batters and walked 20. His won-lost record is 7-4 with a 3.79 ERA.
