Tango Beaten By Mammoths, 3-1
|
Emece Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Buenos Aires Tango and Prague Mammoths.
The Prague Mammoths defeated the Buenos Aires Tango, 3-1, in Western League action at Emece Stadium. Prague pitcher Josué Willoughby had a standout performance. Fawzi bin Rafiq earned his 1st save in 2 chances.
Prague used the timely hitting of Mana Iukini to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mammoths on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Willoughby said.
The Mammoths now own a record of 57-59.
