Baudry Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Byron Baudry -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Rio de Janeiro Ballpark and paced the 14-0 Macaws win over the Santo Domingo Bachateros.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Rio third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Byron Baudry hit a two-run home run off Pero Jan in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Bo Wong in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

In 101 games this season, Baudry has batted at a .274 pace with 105 hits and 14 home runs.
