Royals Cruise to Division Series with Sweep
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Sub League 1 Wildcard Series. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Arboledas Royals swept aside the Seville Underdogs to advance to the Division Series, winning the final game by a 2-1 score at Tookh Fields.

The series MVP was right fielder Muta bin Safwan, who hit .333 with a .308 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Arboledas Royals don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Da Nang Red Devils - Abidjan Swashbucklers series. Abidjan leads the series 2 games to 1. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
