Narwhals Deal Knights 6-1 Loss
|
Reykjavik starter Narciso Honda put a stranglehold on the London offense. The left-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Narwhals to a 6-1 win. Honda, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up no walks. Fabio Chilo, credited with the save, is now 4 for 7 in save opportunities.
Reykjavik used a well-timed hit by Adirizak Naggenda to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Narwhals ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Reykjavik manager Roberto Babilonia. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The victory gives Reykjavik a record of 33-27.
