Chennai Blanks Fisher Cats, Torres at His Best
The Chennai Barons did little to support starter Luis Torres against the Munich Fisher Cats, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Fisher Cats, striking out 8 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Torres allowed Chennai to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Luis, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Torres told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

To date this season Torres sports a 5-0 mark with a 1.96 ERA in 12 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .231 batting average and has 71 strikeouts in 87.1 innings.
