Viet-Tam Thuc, who leads the WL in wins with 9, propelled his team to victory over the Dubai Towers. The final score was 9-4, Rio. At 23-28, the Macaws find themselves in 4th place in the Western League South American.

Alexandre Taillandier had a big 2-run home run for the Macaws in the top of the first inning. With Rio leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Sergio Estremera, who is tied for 10th in the EL in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Macaws on top, 3-0.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Thuc.
