Drake Batters San Diego (DSL) Big Time Wednesday, August 12th , 2026 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Isaiah Drake, it came around today. The 21-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Najayo Complex to pace the 20-8 Pittsburgh (DSL) Pirates Gold victory over the San Diego (DSL) Padres. San Diego (DSL) skipper Larue Baber told reporters in the press room that "Drake deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Drake hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Isaiah Drake hit a three-run home run off Abraham Parra in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dariel Polanco in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
