Dangelo Sarmiento Hurt, Out for Year Thursday, July 23rd , 2026 The season is finished for Dangelo Sarmiento of the New York N (DSL) Mets 1. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Mets 1 shortstop suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Chicago A (DSL) White Sox. Team doctors said it would take at least 10-11 months to heal. During the current season Sarmiento is batting at a .351 clip with 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 13 times. |
