Red-Hot Bat: Perez Collects Cycle
Saturday, June 2nd , 2029
Enyervert Perez punished the Colorado (ACL) Rockies, leading the Diamondbacks Black to a win, 7-0. In doing so, Perez hit for the cycle, tagging the Rockies for 4 hits in 4 at-bats.
A player hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game is one of the more unusual feats in professional baseball and typically happens only a couple times per season.
"Well, I didn't expect that to happen," the Arizona (ACL) shortstop said after the game. "I got some great pitches and I hit their mistakes."
Perez also had 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored in the game at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
Enyervert Perez hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Doilin Perez in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
Perez is batting at a .410 pace this season, picking up 34 hits in 83 at-bats with 4 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
