GreenJackets Alpha Beneby to Miss Year Sunday, September 12th , 2027 The season is apparently over for Alpha Beneby. The Augusta GreenJackets medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 11 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Beneby was hurt in the game against Columbia while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This year, Beneby has chalked up a 2.50 ERA with 2 saves. In 19 relief appearances he has put up a 2-4 won-lost mark and struck out 19 batters in 18 innings. |
