Brennan Hits 3 Homers Against West Michigan Thursday, May 31st , 2029 Payton Brennan brutalized the West Michigan Whitecaps pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 17-8 Great Lakes victory at LMCU Ballpark. The Great Lakes Loons center fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-6 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Payton Brennan today," Whitecaps manager Mike Belfiore said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Payton Brennan flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off RJ Sales in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Michael Massey in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jaden Hamm in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. |
