De Leon and Atencio Fight, Get Suspended Sunday, April 23rd , 2028 If there wasn't a history between Fraymi De Leon of Greenville and Jose Atencio of Wilmington, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 3 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," De Leon said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." De Leon is batting at a .236 pace this season, picking up 13 hits in 55 at-bats with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
