SAL Hands Out Reliever of the Year Friday, October 16th , 2026 He may only be 22, but Juan Rojas of the Aberdeen Ironbirds has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the South Atlantic League. The reliever was today named the SAL Reliever of the Year winner for 2026. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 21 saves in 32 relief appearances and 85 strikeouts in 88.2 innings. He had a record of 5-4 to go with his 2.64 ERA. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Danny Wilkinson of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws finished second in voting, while Isaias Uribe of the Greensboro Grasshoppers finished third.
