Barfield Sparkles in 9-0 Blanking of Spokane Saturday, August 4th , 2029 Hillsboro's Jaden Barfield brought his best stuff to Avista Stadium, shutting down and shutting out the Spokane Indians, 9-0. He racked up 9 strikeouts, surrendered 4 hits, and issued no walks on his way to the victory. "We barely made him work at all," Spokane manager Heath Altman said later. "Hillsboro could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted." Up to now Barfield has compiled an ERA of 2.81 with a 4-2 mark over 3 starts.
