Haskins, Wild Suspended for Fracas Sunday, July 25th , 2027 Yesterday at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium Trevor Haskins and Owen Wild got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and Montgomery Biscuits. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Haskins will have to sit out 2 while Wild would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. In 67 games Haskins is hitting .267 this season with 62 hits, 12 home runs, 41 RBIs, 36 walks, .391 OBP and has scored 45 runs. This season in 18 starts, Owen Wild has a record of 6-2 with 133 strikeouts in 116.2 innings and a 3.86 ERA. |
