Harrington Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, April 15th , 2029 After a 5-hit effort to lead Rocket City's 15-0 victory over the Birmingham Barons, shortstop Alex Harrington told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Southern League-level is really something special." The 21-year-old player earned his accolades at Toyota Field with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Barons. "His swing is getting there," said Trash Pandas skipper Blaze Alexander, who spoke glowingly of Harrington after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Alex did that to perfection." Alex Harrington singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Dylan Oborne in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jarold Rosado in the 8th.
