Saturday, October 30th , 2027
At the age of 24, Jac Caglianone of the Omaha Storm Chasers could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2027 was good enough to win the first baseman the International League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .286 batting average this year, as well as a .352 on-base percentage. He played 104 games and racked up 122 hits, 23 doubles, no triples, 46 home runs, 137 RBIs and 80 runs scored.
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 20. Blake Mitchell of the Omaha Storm Chasers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Cole Mathis of the Omaha Storm Chasers finished third.
