Kash Mayfield Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Sunday, June 20th , 2027 The Buffalo Bisons were dealt a severe blow when Kash Mayfield was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Syracuse Mets. After the game, the team trainer reported Mayfield might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 22-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Mayfield at least 12-13 months to heal. On the season, Mayfield has a 2-1 record with a 4.61 ERA. |
