Marlins Won't Get Playoff Berth Thursday, September 21st , 2028 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Miami might have envisioned. The Miami Marlins were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Major League Baseball and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Marlins manager Randy Choate. Miami last appeared in the postseason in 2023. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 32 times in their 36-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Marlins have made the playoffs 2 times. Miami last won the World Series in 2003. |
