Twins Win Thriller, 5-4
|
The Minnesota Twins did just enough to sneak past the Cleveland Guardians, 5-4, at Target Field. Minnesota pitcher David Festa, in particular, had a standout performance. The third-place Twins hiked their record to 28-22.
Brooks Lee was the walk-off hero for Minnesota. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Lee.
