The Tampa Bay Rays picked up a win at Tropicana Field, dropping the Texas Rangers, 7-3. Dylan Lesko, who finished 4th in the AL in ERA with 3.16 last year, was the difference-maker. Lesko yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. Now 13-4, the 2028 Rays have been sensational so far.

Xavier Isaac had a big 3-run home run for the Rays in the bottom of the third inning. With Tampa Bay leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a changeup from Luis Castillo, who finished 3rd in the AL in innings pitched with 222.1 in 2025, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Rays on top, 5-0.

"You look inside of the game, it's just quality approach after quality approach," said Rays manager Kevin Boles.
