Despite a great performance by Milwaukee left fielder Anthony Santander, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Brewers by the score of 13-11 in 11 innings at American Family Field. Santander was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Abraham Gaitan. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. The loss makes Milwaukee 8-9.

Cincinnati took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 9-9, when Victor Acosta hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Reds in front, 10-9.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Cincinnati manager Gabe Kapler. "I promise you I'm not happy."
