Hopfe Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-1 Rockies Triumph
The Colorado Rockies beat the San Francisco Giants, 5-1, at Colorado Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Tommy Hopfe, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Anthony Molina snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Santiago Suarez suffered the loss. The Giants, at 3-11, have stumbled out of the gate.

Hopfe had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 curveball from Santiago Suarez, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Rockies a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Hopfe.

Said losing manager Stephen Vogt: "The only way to escape your past is to be better than your past."
