Cincinnati Reds starter Nick Lodolo pitched effectively against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 12-3 win. The Cardinals fall to 5-9 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2028 season.

Early in the game, catcher Yainer Diaz had a bases-clearing triple for Cincinnati. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Reds on top, 3-0.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Diaz.
