Osuna Slaps 5 Hits
A jubilant Alejandro Osuna joined the postgame press conference at L.P. Frans Stadium to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Wilmington Blue Rocks pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Hickory Crawdads center fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-7 hitting performance, which led to the 28-6 Crawdads win.

"He made it look easy," said Mike Belcher, manager of the Blue Rocks. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Alejandro Osuna flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

This season, Osuna has posted a batting average of .299 with 59 hits in 197 at-bats, 9 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has also scored 43 runs, walked 35 times and compiled a .434 OBP.
