Phillies Jolt Reds, 8-3, with Late Rally
The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 8-3, at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia was led by 30-year old second baseman Bryson Stott, who went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Reliever Sadiel Baro picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Abraham Gaitan took the loss. Philadelphia, now 9-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

The Reds had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Phillies going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old designated hitter Dalton Rushing came to the plate. Rushing hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 slider from Cincinnati hurler Abraham Gaitan. It was Rushing's 4th double of the year.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Rushing told the Philadelphia Daily.
