Twins Beaten By Orioles, 5-2
|
Baltimore Orioles starter Brandon Woodruff pitched his team past the Minnesota Twins, 5-2. Woodruff picked up the win for Baltimore, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Felix Bautista earned save number 2 this season.
Bo Bichette had a big 2-run double for the Orioles in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Baltimore leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Michael Carpenter and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Orioles ahead, 4-1.
Bichette said his team "played with determination."
The win moves Baltimore to a record of 2-1.
