Colorado Beats San Francisco, 5-4
|
The Colorado Rockies turned back the San Francisco Giants, 5-4, at Oracle Park. Adael Amador, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 1-2 with 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Anthony Molina picked up the win. His record improves to 7-0. Dylan Cease, who finished 5th in the AL in wins with 13 in 2021, took the loss. With the win, Colorado pushed its record to 92-66.
With Colorado leading 3-0 in the top of the second, Amador hit a 2-run single off San Francisco hurler Dylan Cease. It was the 179th hit of the season for Amador and put his team ahead, 5-0.
"I was a little disappointed," said San Francisco manager Stephen Vogt. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
