Washington pitcher Brandon Pfaadt had a large part in his team subduing the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Pfaadt picked up the win for Washington, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. Ryan Helsley wrapped it up, recording his 33rd save.

Washington used a clutch at-bat from Brady House to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Brandon was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Washington manager Joe Pyrtle.
