Yankees Stymied by Twins, Rasmussen
|
New York had no answer for 33-year old right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen. The Minnesota Twins starter stymied Yankees hitters, helping the Twins cruise to victory, 7-0. At 70-76, the Twins are currently last in the American League Central Division.
Rasmussen earned the win to move to 11-10. In his 8.2-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 7 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Yankees few scoring opportunities.
"For the most part, I didn't think they knew what was coming," said Rasmussen.
