Reds Get 12-7 Win Versus New York
The Cincinnati Reds weathered an outstanding game by New York left fielder JJ Bleday to topple the Mets, 12-7. Bleday was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The win went to Owen Holt in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Alex Cobb took the loss. At 75-68, the Reds find themselves in second place in the National League Central Division.

Blake Dunn, who is tied for 5th in the NL in runs scored with 92, helped out the Cincinnati cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 1-2 with a walk.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Cincinnati manager Gabe Kapler.
