Toronto Gets 3-1 Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Oakland Athletics, 27-year old right-handed pitcher Rhett Lowder was the difference-maker. The Toronto right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Holden Wilkerson earned his 23rd save in 30 chances. The win gives the Blue Jays a record of 49-91.

The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from catcher Austin Wells. For the game, Wells went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Toronto a 2-0 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Lowder said.
