Astros Prevail, 5-3, Over Texas
|
Minute Maid Park was the site of a competitive game between the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros.
The Houston Astros locked up a win at Minute Maid Park, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 5-3. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Ian Anderson. He played a major role in the triumph. Josh Hader notched his 23rd save in 27 chances.
Francisco Alvarez hit a 2-run double off Jordy Andujar in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Astros in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Alvarez had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Anderson.
Houston has now won 3 in a row.
