Phillies Earn 8-5 Win Against Brewers
|
Philadelphia and Milwaukee duked it out and the Phillies came out victorious.
The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-5, at American Family Field. Bryan Ramos, in particular, was impressive. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Philadelphia reliever Jeff Hoffman snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Joel Payamps shouldered the loss.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Brandon Marsh to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Phillies on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We maximized our offense today," said Philadelphia skipper Mike Colangelo. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The win has Philadelphia at 13-6.
